We are now just over 2 weeks from our build day!! Woo hoo!!

EXCITING NEWS!
We have surpassed a significant threshold in our fundraising efforts! However, we still have close to $10,000 to raise to be able to complete certain aspects of our grand vision including extra benches, new trees, and a future school garden project. All donations may be dropped off at the school office or sent via PayPal on our website. Let’s keep up the momentum!! We’re almost there!!
We will be doing a live web broadcast of our Build Day so that friends and loved ones across the country can still be part of the big day. Check out other Let Them Be Kids projects across Canada on www.ltbk.ca ! Get inspired!
VOLUNTEER UPDATE
We still need quite a few more strong, hard-working people to help with landscaping on Build Day as well as a DJ with outdoor sound equipment.
If each of one of us can get one more person to help out and sign up for the day, we will achieve all that we set out to do! Please remind those interested that they need to register on www.canmore.ltbk.ca as soon as possible (click on “Join the Effort”).
Before Build Day, we are also still in need of:
· Wed June 16th, 3-5pm: unloading playground equipment at site, picking up Bouncy Castle
o 2-3 more people who can lift 100 lbs
o 1 pick-up truck to transport Bouncy Castle to school
· Thur June 17th, 9am–5 pm: layout of equipment, steel grid, posts & decks in place
o 2-3 more people who can lift 100 lbs, read a schematic, work hard, take direction, construction experience helpful, (am, pm, or all day), lunch provided
· Fri June 18th, 9am–5 pm: marking & measuring playground
o 3-4 more people who can lift 100 lbs, read a schematic, work hard, take direction construction experience helpful, (am, pm, or all day), lunch provided

NEEDS REQUIREMENT
We are STILL IN NEED of the following tools/materials for Build Day:
• 30+ Wheelbarrows
• 30+ Hard Rakes
• 30+ Shovels
• 4 Torpedo levels
• 7 Impact guns
• 3 Cordless Drills
• Drill bits - 21/64" and 5/32" (5 each.)
• Wrench and/or ratchet set 9/16” & ½” (6 each)
• Gardening tools (spades, hand rakes, pruners)
• 300 compostable plates & 300 compostable forks
• 2 small pop-up tents

WHAT ELSE CAN I DO NOW TO HELP?
Simply get one more person to sign up to help or make a donation! Better yet, invite a newcomer to town, a part-time resident, a visitor to come out and participate!
